The Chevrolet Beat Essentia, a subcompact sedan, was initially unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016. The Beat Essentia is based on the hatchback version and has been planned with the sole intention of increasing the market share by tackling the fierce competition that exists in the particular segment.

The Chevrolet Beat Essentia will be available in petrol as well as diesel trims. The 1.2-litre SMARTECH petrol engine will be capable of churning a maximum power of 77 bhp and a peak torque of 106 Nm. The other 1.0-litre SMARTECH oil burner motor will be able to make a maximum power of 56 bhp and a highest torque of 142 Nm.

Considering the competitive market, expect the pricing of the Beast Essentia to be extremely aggressive, with anything between Rs. 5 lakhs to Rs. 8 lakhs exclusive showroom.

Toyota Lexus ES

Toyota’s premium vehicle department will finally be debuted in India with the sports Lexus ES Coupe. This new car, from a debuting brand, will hit the showrooms on the 24th of March, 2017.

The Toyota Lexus ES Coupe will be offered in two different variants, Hybrid and Standard. With a 3.5-litre V6 engine under the hood, the power output will be around the maximum 268 bhp mark while the torque will be limited to 248 Nm at 4,700 revs per minute. The transmission duties will be carried out by a new 6-speed sequential automatic gearbox.

The price tag for the Lexus ES will be anything between Rs. 55 lakhs to Rs. 65 lakhs mark. This is the exclusive showroom figure.

SUVs to be launched in March 2017

Honda WR-V

Honda Motor Company Limited will be launching the new WR-V, a Jazz based compact crossover, in March 2017. The Honda WR-V is all set to be the smallest crossover car from the company’s stable and is being produced at the Tapukara plant in Rajasthan.

Under the hood of the new Honda WR-V, there will be the same tried and tested engine that was used for the Jazz hatch. For the petrol variant, there will be a 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine that will be capable of producing a maximum power of 89 bhp and a peak torque of 110 Nm. On the other hand, the diesel trim will see a 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine that will thump out 99 bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 200 Nm. Transmission will be handled by a 5-speed manual or CVT (common variable transmission) for the petrol trim and a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox for the diesel variant.

Being a subcompact crossover, the Honda WR-V might carry a price tag of around Rs. 7 lakhs to Rs. 9 lakhs.

Lexus RX

Debuting in India in March itself, Lexus will be launching an SUV, along with a sedan, as well. Lexus, internationally, offers the RX in two trim levels, RX 350 and RX 450. While both the trims come with the same engine, the one in the RX 450 will be slightly tuned to produce around 15 bhp more power than the RX 350. The transmission options in both the trims will be fixed at an 8-speed automatic ECT.

The Toyota Lexus RX is expected to be priced around Rs. 85 lakhs to Rs. 95 lakhs for both the trims.

Ever since the standard Baleno was launched in 2015 by the Indo-Japanese car maker Maruti Suzuki, the company achieved new heights  with the car doing exceptionally well in the domestic circuit. A revised form of the hatchback, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS, is termed as one of the important cars by the company as it will set the trending BoosterJet (turbocharged) engine debuting in India.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS will come with a 1.0-litre BoosterJet engine under the bonnet, which will be able to make a maximum power of 100 bhp and a peak torque of 150 Nm. This power will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox.

Since the Baleno RS is placed slightly higher than the standard Baleno, the newer model is expected to be slightly pricier at anything over Rs. 8 lakhs exclusive showroom tag.

The transmission section will be looked over by a 7-speed ISR (independent shifting rod) gearbox. The supercar will boost on a top speed of 350 kms per hour.

The Lamborghini Aventador S is expected to come at a starting prices tag of over Rs. 4.5 crore exclusive showroom in Delhi.
